Mrs. Kathryn Hendry deVegter 89, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Hospice Savannah. She was born in Blackshear, Georgia, but lived most of her life in Savannah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her daughter, Patricia Finnochario and her son, Thomas deVegter.
Surviving are her sons, Michael deVegter and wife Jean, Stanley deVegter and wife Diane, and William deVegter and wife Susan; her daughters, Susan deVegter, Cindy Edenfield and Jill Cornish; seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Services will be Friday, May 1, 2009, at 3:00 p.m., in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Reverend James Rush officiating.
